Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Historically a commemoration of the Mexican army's victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, Cinco de Mayo, in the US, has come to represent a celebration of Mexican-American culture, including music, dance and food.
Cinco de Mayo also represents bravery, community, determination and pride – very important attributes given the current state of the world.
